Solustiq, a Turkey-based firm specializing in software and artificial intelligence, has unveiled its role as the nation’s first vertical AI company dedicated to the global travel and tourism sector. With its headquarters in Edirne and additional offices in Istanbul and Dubai, the company is focused on developing an AI infrastructure tailored to the nuanced needs of the travel industry. This sector, which adds over $11 trillion to global GDP and employs one in ten people worldwide, remains under-modernized technologically. Solustiq is among a new wave of “vertical AI” startups creating AI solutions specifically designed for the unique workflows, data structures, and regulatory demands of a particular industry.
Alper Tekin, Founder and CEO of Solustiq, emphasized the need for industry-specific AI tools, saying, “The travel industry doesn’t need another general-purpose chatbot. It needs AI that understands GDS systems, hotel inventory APIs, regulatory frameworks like TURSAB, and the operational rhythm of a tour operator at 3 a.m. when a flight gets cancelled.” In line with this vision, Solustiq has developed a portfolio of AI-native products: DataGreat, an AI market intelligence platform; SkilledAgents, a no-code platform for creating AI agents; VibePy, an AI code generation engine; and Vuln0x, an autonomous AI penetration testing platform. These products aim to address specific challenges within the travel industry by leveraging domain-specific training data and industry-standard protocol integrations.
Solustiq’s approach to vertical AI is backed by practical application through its sister company, Safaryar Holidays, a TURSAB-licensed B2B hotel wholesaler and destination management company. This connection allows Solustiq to test and refine its AI tools with real-world feedback from Safaryar’s agency partners across Europe, the Gulf region, and Central Asia. Additionally, Solustiq manages a portfolio of over 90 travel-related domains, using them as channels for distributing AI-generated travel intelligence.
According to Tekin, three forces make 2026 a pivotal year for vertical AI in travel: the disruption of legacy GDS oligopolies by AI-native infrastructure providers, the shift in “build vs. buy” economics favoring smaller travel agencies, and regulatory changes in the EU and Turkey, such as Turkey’s Cybersecurity Law 7545, which necessitate infrastructure modernization. Tekin argues, “We’re not asking the travel industry to adopt AI. We’re asking it to choose between vertical AI built by people who understand the industry, or horizontal AI built by people who don’t. We think that’s a much easier conversation.”
Founded by Alper Tekin, Solustiq operates a diverse range of products including DataGreat, SkilledAgents, VibePy, and Vuln0x, to meet the needs of the global travel and tourism industry. The company is committed to providing specialized AI solutions that are both effective and industry-aware, setting the stage for a significant technological shift in one of the world’s largest service sectors.
