Türkiye and Saudi Arabia have reached a consensus to enhance their cooperative efforts in the justice sector, following discussions in Ankara between Turkish Justice Minister Akın Gürlek and his Saudi counterpart, Walid bin Muhammad Al Samaani. The talks centered around the expansion of collaborative measures on judicial reforms, the exchange of legal expertise, and the advancement of digital justice initiatives.
The ministers underscored the significance of reinforcing their respective legal systems and promoting cooperation aligned with Türkiye’s “Century of Türkiye Vision” and Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. They recognized the mutual benefit in building stronger legal frameworks and improving the efficiency and modernity of justice systems in both countries.
In line with these goals, Türkiye proposed to share its extensive experience in judicial digitalization through its National Judiciary Informatics System (UYAP). This system includes advanced expertise in areas such as artificial intelligence-supported legal services, cybersecurity, and alternative dispute resolution, alongside broader judicial cooperation efforts.
Both ministers agreed that fostering more direct exchanges and collaborations among legal professionals from their countries would be pivotal in strengthening bilateral ties. Such initiatives are expected to enhance access to efficient and contemporary justice systems, benefiting both nations by providing a more streamlined and effective legal environment.
